A high-level beginning with the magnificent mistral coast as a frame. The wonderful views of Porto Conte, Porto Ferro and the Argentiera will come in succession. The route will take us not far from Stintino and then will take the direction of Porto Torres and Castelsardo where we will stop.
A long stage during which there will never be time for the monotony. Many scenery changes, the wide spaces of the highlands of Pattada up to the woods of Foresta Burgos, finally discovering the coast of Sinis with the arrival close to Cabras. The traditional fishing practiced in the surrounding ponds will be the theme of the evening menu.
We walk along a short stretch that from Oristano put us back in touch with the hinterland, to go and discover ancient obsidian field, extinct volcanoes and land reclaimed in the early 19th century. Other many surprises will be reserved to the afternoon path, with the old Sulicis mines archeology industrial and the sea always in the background. Arrival in the mountain, where an old structure, used for mines, has been restored and it is used as a friendly agritourism. For dinner, we will delight you with local food and products from surrounding farms and agricultures.
Again a stage full of many landscapes that change as we head to inland and Gennargentu that will almost reached at the end of the day. We start from the lands of Campidano that are alternated with the gentle hills of Barumini that houses the most important Nuraghic village of Sardinia. Then comes the turn of the Barbagia of Seui and the "Heels" of Ogliastra, fascinating natural rock towers that go with the final stretch.
The proposed route along this stage is a continuum between forests, rock pinnacles, porphyry that rise from the sea and archaic traditions. We will meet in fact the shepherds who guard the secrets of the Supramonte in the characteristic "cuiles", where we can enjoy the specialties that are handed down untouched for centuries. Panoramic arrival in Cala Gonone, one of the most beautiful pearls of the Orosei Gulf.
A lovely return stage will accompany us to the discovery of a mainly desert landscape, along uplands from where spectacular granite monoliths rise. The scenery will add a little color when we will see a view of Lake Coghinas, from where will begin a stretch of smooth path and then finally towards Sassari and Alghero.
