Barumini

Today I want to tell you a bit of history; no motorcycles, curves landscapes and adrenaline but emotions linked to the oldest history of this island. The nuraghi, are stone constructions, in the shape of a truncated cone, made of stones placed one on top of the other dry from the largest to the base, to the smallest up to the roof.
Considering that it is assumed that they date back to the Bronze Age, about two centuries before Christ demonstrate how much the inhabitants of that era already had high engineering knowledge especially as regards the weight distribution and the force of gravity
The most important nuragic settlement of the island is located in Barumini, in the central south, "su Nuraxi" was rediscovered in the 50s by a local archaeologist and shows today a high level of conservation.
The visit, with the help of expert guides, will make you live a particular experience and you will identify yourself with the life of the inhabitants of those structures with more than 2000 years of history.
In Sardinia over 7000 nuraghic settlements have been discovered but what they still render today, much more fascinating their history is that it is not clear what their real function was, if it was of military, religious or even astronomical origin, considering their location on the regional territory corresponding to a precise alignment with the stars.
