Deep Blue
Olbia
Day 1
Olbia-Arbatax - 221km
Today you will venture into the heart of Sardinia, passing through Alà dei Sardi, Buddusò, Bitti, and finally Oliena, reaching one of the island’s most important restaurants: nestled in greenery at the foot of the Gennargentu mountain range, the restaurant "Su Gologone" will offer you a unique gastronomic experience in a historical, cultural, and natural setting of the highest level. You can also visit the Su Gologone spring just a few steps from the restaurant.
Lunch will be abundant, and in the afternoon, there’s still plenty of road ahead! You will find yourself on the most beautiful stretch of the SS 125 Orientale Sarda, the route that connects Dorgali to Tortolì. The mountains, the Su Gorroppu gorge, and the landscapes of this unspoiled corner of Sardinia will give you strong emotions.
Day 2
Arbatax-Alghero - 228km
Head northeast, passing through Talana, Gavoi, and Sarule. You’ll ride for miles and miles of curves surrounded by mountain landscapes that will lead you to Bolotana. Have lunch in Bosa, a charming fishing village famous for its canal harbor and its castle.
In the afternoon, get ready for one of the highlights of the motorcycling experience in Sardinia: the Bosa - Alghero coastal road, nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and considered by many one of the most beautiful roads in the world. These 53 km of curves along the sea will impress you, not only for the quality of the route but also for its scents and colors.
Once you arrive in Alghero, a breathtaking aperitif at the Riservato Beach Bar is a must. Only after watching the sun set over the sea, lose yourself in the narrow streets of the historic center where you’ll find a wide selection of traditional restaurants. Among these, we recommend “La Bifora,” located on the bastions overlooking the marina.
Day 3
Alghero-Alghero - 234km
Head towards Villanova Monteleone, where you will venture into the heart of Sardinia, crossing the untouched nature of the Burgos forest in the direction of Bono. In the afternoon, stop at Pattada to visit the Museum of Sardinian History and Tradition, where among the numerous objects, the typical Sardinian knives—the Pattadese—are on display. In the late afternoon, return to Alghero, crossing the entire province of Sassari. Once there, treat yourself to some well-deserved relaxation while sipping a breathtaking aperitif at the Riservato Beach Bar. Only after watching the sun set over the sea, lose yourself in the narrow streets of the historic center, where you’ll find a wide selection of traditional restaurants; among these, we recommend “La Bifora,” located on the bastions overlooking the tourist port.
Day 4
Alghero-Olbia - 239km
Head toward the Capocaccia promontory, from which you can visit the beautiful viewpoint overlooking the island of Foradada to the west and Porto Conte bay to the east. From here, you will also enjoy the evocative skyline of the fortified city of Alghero.
Continue north toward Stintino, where you can visit La Pelosa beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world for its crystal-clear water and fine white sand. The next stop is Castelsardo: cross the entire pine forest of Marina di Sorso to then reach the coastal road leading to the beautiful medieval village. We recommend visiting the castle, followed by lunch at the restaurant “L’incantu,” accompanied by the splendid view that characterizes it.
After lunch, leave the sea behind and head inland toward Olbia. Along the way, you will pass through the towns of Perfugas, Tempio, and Calangianus, connected by winding roads immersed in cork oak forests, one of Gallura’s distinctive features.
